At the beginning of April our Missionaries gathered to different Church buildings throughout the Mission to enjoy General Conference.
At April's transfer we received 16 new Goldens at the Airport.
What a wonderful group--we are so excited they are here!
After a full day of arriving, contacting on the bahn, training and interviewing with President Kohler, we gathered at the mission home.
After dinner, the missionaries learned who their trainers would be and where they would serve. Then we had a wonderful testimony meeting.
The next day they were ready to go to their new areas!
At the bahnhof--many missionaries are coming and going.
That evening we had our farewell dinner for the going home group--this is only one part of the room!
Here is the entire group for this transfer--all 31 of them. We will miss them!
It is always difficult to lose our wonderful couples--goodbye Elder & Sister Tew.
At the airport as we prepare to get all of the missionaries checked into their flights.
Sister Gilmour and Erika--temporary companions!
Later in the month, President Kohler and I had the opportunity to attend a Mission President training seminar in Frankfurt. Here are the Presidents of the 3 German-speaking missions: President Kosak (Berlin), President Kohler (Alpine), President Stoddard (Frankfurt)
This is all of the mission presidents and wives of the Europe Area--with other
wonderful leaders as well!
While at the seminar, we had a surprise visitor!
Back in Munich the day before our big meeting with Elder Bednar. Thank you Sister Gildner for being in charge of all those lunches!
The building is all set up...
The equipment is all working...
And the missionaries start to arrive.
Wow!
We gathered for a meeting the night before. Here are all of the missionaries who needed to come in the night before.
Afterward we walked them over to the hostel for the night. (For pictures of the meeting check my other April blog post!)
After the meeting with Elder Bednar it was time for Elder Barber to go home--best wishes!
And to end our big day with Elder Bednar, after everyone was gone home, our son Tanner was ready to open his mission call!
He will be serving in the Romania/Moldova Mission, Russian-speaking.
We are so happy for him!!!
